We are happy to host Dr. Erin Tranfield, head of Electron Microscopy Facility at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência in Portugal. Erin obtained her PhD at the Universityof British Columbia in Vancouver/ Canada.
In 2013 she joined the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência to first build and then run the Electron Microscopy Facility. Erin has more than 15 years experience with electron microscopy, particularly high pressure freezing and automatic freeze substitution, electron tomography and three-dimensional data acquisition.
